Q: How does your mechanism compare with the rest?
A: Our heavy-duty spring-loaded mechanism with longer lifespan are superior to the normal hydraulic system. Our product is also adjustable, so you can bring the bed into a perfect balance. There is a huge difference between spring units and gas pistons. Apart from reliability in use and durability, our spring design offers other advantages. The main one is that whereas the gas piston is fixed in capacity for a given frame size, the spring design is adjustable—by adding or subtracting springs, you can have the bed frame in perfect balance. One should ideally be able to stop a wall bed at any point in opening or lowering, or in lifting the bed to stow away—and this process should require minimal effort. No specific mattress weight range is required, any springs mattress brand of client's choice is acceptable; thickness not more than 10" is perfect!

Q: What is the maximum body weight your bed can support?
A: For the queen-size bed, it is 350 kg, while the single bed can take 180 kg.

Q: What material is used for carpentry works?
A: We have the options of chipboard and plywood.

Q: What is your warranty period?
A: We provide five years warranty on mechanism. If you use it properly, it could last for more than 10 years (based on overseas case studies). Our first customer, Ms May using our product since 2013 until now without any problem.

Q: Does your price include mattress?
A: Our price does NOT include mattress but includes FREE delivery and installation within the Klang Valley region.

Q: In terms of mattress thickness, what measurement should we opt for?
A: You can use any spring mattress that is up to 10 inches in thickness.

Q: Is your wall bed ready-made or custom-made?
A: All our wall beds are custom-made, and you can choose the materials and colours to be used.

Q: How long do you take to deliver a wall bed to a customer?
A: For the stand-alone wall bed, upon confirmation of the order, we would need 14-21 days for delivery.

Q: What are your payment terms?
A: We need payment to be made 50% up front and 50% before delivery.

Q: How much does it cost to add on a side cabinet?
A: To quote a price for a side cabinet, we would need measurements in width, height and depth.

As parents of teenage kids, my wife and I are glad we opted for a wall bed instead of children's bed. We bought ours two years ago when our kids were still small. My family and I have no complaints about the RUUMY wall bed we bought, although I have to say we hardly use it. But therein lies the beauty of a wall bed; when not in use, it can be out of sight and leave us with more space for other things.
